Our process
How marble restoration works
From first photo to finished polish.
Send Us a Photo
Text, call, or submit online. We look at the damage and give you an honest quote. No pressure, no upselling.
Test Spot First
We start with a small area so you can see the results before we commit to the whole surface. If you don't like the direction, we stop.
Clean, Hone & Polish
We remove buildup, work through the etching and scratches with progressively finer diamond pads, and polish to your preferred finish.
Seal & Walk-Through
We apply a penetrating sealer when appropriate, walk you through the results, and give you a care plan so it stays looking good.

What we fix
Each problem needs a different approach. Here is what we see most often and how we handle it.
Etch Marks
White rings from glasses, dull spots near the sink, hazy patches where something acidic sat too long. Wine, lemon juice, tomato sauce, and certain cleaning products all etch marble on contact. The surface itself is damaged, which is why cleaning doesn't fix it. We hone out the etching and polish the surface smooth again.
Hard Water Haze
Las Vegas has some of the hardest water in the country. Those minerals build up on marble showers, tub decks, and around faucets. Over time they etch into the stone. You can scrub all day and it won't come off because the damage is in the surface, not on it. We remove the mineral deposits and refinish the stone underneath.
Traffic Wear
Dull pathways where people walk most. The path from the front door to the kitchen, or from the bedroom to the bathroom. Desert sand and grit tracked in on shoes acts like fine sandpaper on polished marble. Over months and years, the finish wears away in those lanes. We hone and polish the full floor to a consistent finish.
Scratches & Scuffs
Furniture legs, dropped objects, or grit ground into the floor during construction. Some scratches catch the light and that's all you see. We work through them with diamond abrasives, starting coarse enough to reach the scratch depth and finishing fine enough to restore the polish. Deep gouges may still show faintly, and we'll tell you upfront.
Local conditions
Why marble wears faster in Las Vegas
Hard water
Las Vegas has some of the hardest municipal water in the U.S. Those dissolved minerals leave deposits on marble showers, tub decks, and around faucets. Over time, the minerals etch into the stone. Cleaning products can't remove damage that's in the surface itself.
Desert dust and grit
Fine desert sand gets tracked in on shoes and acts like sandpaper on polished marble floors. Most of the traffic wear damage we see on residential marble floors in Henderson and Summerlin comes from grit, not foot traffic alone.
Dry climate
Spills and acidic liquids don't rinse away as easily in low humidity. A drop of lemon juice that might get diluted and wiped up quickly in a humid kitchen sits and concentrates on the marble surface here. That gives it more time to etch.
Temperature swings
Outdoor marble and stone near pool decks deals with big temperature changes between day and night. This can stress the stone and lead to hairline cracks or surface checking over time.

Honest assessment
What's realistic
Most marble cleaning and polishing gets the stone back to looking the way you remember it. Etching, haze, traffic wear, dull spots. Those come out. Deep scratches and old stains that have been sitting for years may still show faintly after restoration, and we'll tell you that before we start.
We do a test spot first so you can see the direction. If the results aren't going to be worth the cost, we'll say so. We'd rather lose a job than have you unhappy with the outcome.
One thing to know: marble is softer than granite or quartzite. It will etch again if acidic liquids sit on it. Sealing slows down staining but doesn't prevent etching. We'll walk you through what to use and what to avoid so your marble stays looking good longer. That said, marble is meant to be used, not preserved behind glass.

What to try before you call a marble cleaning company
If your marble looks dull or hazy, try wiping it with just water and a clean microfiber cloth first. If the cloudiness wipes away, it's probably residue from cleaners or soap. A good deep clean might be all you need.
If the haze stays even when the surface is dry and you can feel rough spots where the marble used to be smooth, it's likely etching. That needs professional marble restoration, not more scrubbing.
Either way, stop using vinegar, Windex, or anything citrus-based. These are acidic and they're making it worse. Skip the "marble polish" sprays from the hardware store too. Most are coatings that build up and cause problems later.
Common questions
Marble polishing and cleaning FAQ
Is this a stain or is it etched?
If it won't wipe away and looks like it's in the stone rather than sitting on top, it's usually etching. Etching happens when acidic liquids like wine, citrus, or certain cleaners eat into the marble surface. A stain sits in the pores. Etching is actual surface damage. We can tell the difference on-site and explain what we're seeing.
Why does my shower marble look cloudy even after I clean it?
That's usually hard water etching combined with soap residue. The minerals in Las Vegas water slowly eat into the marble surface, and once that happens, no amount of scrubbing fixes it. The surface itself is damaged. Honing and polishing removes etching, but it takes refinishing, not more cleaning products.
What cleaning products should I stop using on marble?
Vinegar, lemon juice, Windex, and most bathroom sprays are acidic and etch marble over time. Same with those DIY cleaning recipes you find online. Stick to pH-neutral stone cleaners or just plain water and a microfiber cloth for daily wiping. We'll give you a short list of what actually works.
Will marble polishing make a mess in my house?
We contain and extract dust as we work, so there's less mess than you'd expect. We set up plastic sheeting when needed and clean up at the end. Most people are surprised how tidy it stays.
Do I need sealing after marble polishing?
Usually, yes. A penetrating sealer soaks into the stone and helps slow down future staining. It doesn't change the look or feel. It just buys you more time to wipe up spills before they get into the pores. We'll recommend what makes sense for your situation.
Can you match the finish if you only polish part of the floor?
We can often blend the restored area into the surrounding marble, but natural stone varies. The test spot helps us see how close we can get. For the most consistent results, doing a full area like an entire entryway or kitchen floor gives a better finish than patching individual sections.
How long until I can walk on it or use it again?
You can usually walk on floors and use countertops the same day. If we apply sealer, there's a short cure time, often just a few hours before light use. We'll tell you exactly when it's safe.
How do I get an estimate for marble restoration?
Send us a few photos. A wide shot of the area and a close-up of the worst spots. Include a coin for scale if you can. We'll give you a ballpark and can schedule a free on-site assessment if you want exact pricing.
