Stone Restoration Across the Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas Valley homes sit in one of the hardest environments for natural stone in the country. The Southern Nevada Water Authority reports water hardness between 16 and 22 grains per gallon, some of the highest municipal levels anywhere in the U.S. That mineral-heavy water leaves calcium deposits on marble showers, dulls travertine floors, and eats through grout lines faster than most homeowners expect. Add 300+ days of direct sunlight, summer temperatures above 115°F, and monsoon-season moisture swings, and you get stone surfaces that age years in a single season.

We built Expert Stone Repair around these conditions. Our IICRC-certified technicians have restored thousands of stone surfaces across the valley, and every area has its own patterns. The types of stone installed, the age of the homes, the water source, and even the soil composition change from one part of the valley to the next. That local knowledge makes a real difference in how we approach each project.

What We See in Each Area

Henderson is home to luxury communities like MacDonald Highlands, Anthem, and Lake Las Vegas. We handle a lot of marble countertop refinishing and travertine shower restoration there. Many Henderson homes were built in the early 2000s with premium stone that's now 20+ years old and showing hard water etching and wear.

We handle a lot of countertop repair in Summerlin for marble, quartzite, and granite in luxury communities like The Ridges, The Summit Club, and Red Rock Country Club — chips, etch damage, and hard-water dullness are the most common calls we get from that area.

Southwest Las Vegas has seen rapid growth over the last decade, and newer construction there uses a wide mix of marble, granite, quartzite, and engineered quartz. We're often called for countertop chip repairs and grout repair in homes that are only a few years old but already showing the effects of hard water.

The Las Vegas core, from the Strip corridor to established neighborhoods like Rancho Charleston and Scotch 80s, has some of the oldest natural stone installations in the valley. Many of these homes and commercial spaces need full travertine restoration and lippage removal after decades of foot traffic.

Northwest Las Vegas includes Centennial Hills, Aliante, and the Skye Canyon corridor. The newer builds up north often have pool decks and outdoor stone features that take a beating from the combination of chlorinated water and direct desert sun. Pool deck restoration and stone sealing are our most common calls in this area.

We also serve communities beyond the core valley, including Boulder City, Pahrump, and Mesquite. The restoration needs in these areas often involve older stone installations and well water, which can be even harder than the municipal supply.

How We Work

Every project starts with a free in-home assessment. We look at the stone type, test the surface condition, check for lippage, and identify the specific water and environmental damage. From there, we put together a restoration plan with clear pricing. No vague estimates, no pressure. Our services include marble polishing, travertine restoration, countertop refinishing, stone sealing, and grout repair, all performed by IICRC-certified technicians who work exclusively with natural and engineered stone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you serve in Las Vegas?

We serve the entire Las Vegas Valley including Henderson, Summerlin, Southwest Las Vegas, Northwest Las Vegas (Centennial Hills, Aliante, Skye Canyon), central Las Vegas, and extended areas like Boulder City, Pahrump, and Mesquite.

Do you charge extra for travel to different parts of the valley?

No. We don't charge travel fees anywhere within the Las Vegas Valley. Extended areas like Boulder City, Pahrump, and Mesquite may have a trip charge depending on the scope of the project.

Why does location matter for stone restoration?

Different parts of the valley have different water hardness levels, stone types, home ages, and sun exposure patterns. Henderson homes built in the early 2000s have different stone issues than newer Southwest Las Vegas construction. We adjust our approach based on these local conditions.
