We started this blog because the same questions kept coming up on every job. Homeowners wanted to know why their marble went dull, or whether that white haze on their travertine was something they caused. The Southern Nevada Water Authority categorizes local water as very hard at 280 ppm, or 16 grains per gallon. The National Weather Service describes Las Vegas as a desert valley with hot summers, low precipitation, and occasional blowing dust and sand. Stone-care advice should reflect those local conditions without assuming every mark has the same cause.
Everything here comes from our IICRC-certified team's hands-on experience restoring stone across the Las Vegas Valley. We write about what we actually see on job sites, not theory.
Browse by topic to find what you need. Stone Care Guides cover cleaning routines and sealing schedules for different stone types. Problem Solving helps you identify and fix common damage like etching, hard water stains, and lippage. Las Vegas Living tackles issues specific to our desert climate and municipal water. Before & After shows real restoration projects from local homes. And Industry Insights covers the technical side for homeowners who want to understand what's actually happening to their stone at a deeper level.
