Our process

How marble shower restoration works

From first photo to a shower that cleans up again.

1

Send Us a Photo

A wide shot of the shower plus close-ups of the cloudy areas. We give you an honest quote.

2

Assess & Deep Clean

We strip mineral deposits and soap residue so we can see what is buildup versus actual stone damage.

3

Hone & Polish

Diamond abrasives remove the etching and restore a smooth surface. This is what makes daily cleaning work again.

4

Grout & Seal

We repair grout where needed, then seal with products built for wet areas to slow future buildup.

What we fix

Most shower problems are stone damage, not a cleaning problem. Here is what we see most.

Hard water mineral haze on marble bathroom stone

Cloudy Hard Water Haze

White film on the lower walls that returns right after cleaning. Las Vegas minerals deposit with every shower and etch into the marble. We remove the deposits and refinish the stone underneath.

Rough Shower Floor

The floor feels gritty instead of smooth because etching and buildup have roughened the surface. We hone it back to a smooth, safe finish that rinses clean.

Soap Scum That Won't Scrub

Soap residue bonds with hard water minerals into a layer that resists normal cleaning. We break it down and restore the surface so the marble looks clean when it is clean.

Dark or Failing Grout

Grout lines that never look clean or that let water behind the tile. We clean, repair, and reseal grout as part of the shower restoration.

Why marble showers struggle in Las Vegas

Some of the hardest water in America

Las Vegas water deposits minerals with every shower. The buildup is invisible at first, then compounds daily until the marble looks permanently hazy.

Steam opens the stone

Hot showers open marble pores, letting minerals penetrate deeper. Soap residue then bonds with those minerals into a layer that normal cleaning cannot lift.

Acidic cleaners backfire

Most bathroom cleaners are acidic and etch marble, so scrubbing harder usually makes the haze worse, not better.

Honest assessment

What's realistic

Honing and polishing bring the marble back to smooth and clear, and the surface cleans up normally again afterward. Hard water will keep working on it, so a squeegee habit and the right sealer make the result last.

We assess what is buildup versus actual stone damage before we start, so you know exactly what the restoration will and will not change.

Common questions

Marble shower restoration FAQ

Why won't my marble shower come clean?

If it won't wipe clean, the surface is probably etched. Hard water minerals have eaten into the marble itself. Scrubbing removes the loose stuff on top, but the damaged stone underneath stays cloudy. Honing removes the damaged layer.

How long does marble shower restoration take?

Most shower restorations finish in one day. Larger showers or those needing extensive repair may take longer. We give you a time estimate during the assessment.

Can I use my shower the same day?

We usually recommend waiting overnight for the sealer to cure before heavy water exposure. Light use may be possible sooner, and we will let you know.

How do I keep it looking good?

Squeegee after each shower so water does not dry and deposit minerals. Use pH-neutral cleaners only, no vinegar or acidic bathroom sprays. We provide specific care instructions.

Will you fix the grout too?

Yes. Shower restoration includes grout assessment and repair. Damaged grout lets water behind the tile, so addressing it matters for both appearance and function.
